Even after she was awarde by the Federal Government through the National Film and Video Censors Board, NFVCB as box office Champion Toriola broke Abraham’s record with her latest movie ‘Queen Lateefah’, which has become one of the highest-grossing Nigerian film of all time.
Since its release in September, the film has grossed N350 million in just two months, surpassing Abraham’s ‘Malaika’, which earned N302 million.
The new achievement has placed Queen Lateefah among the Nollywood top 7 highest-grossing films. The film is now poised to challenge the records set by actress Funke Akindele with ‘A Tribe Called Judah’, and ‘Battle On Buka Street’ films.
Reacting to the development in an Instagram post, she wrote; “No 7, Queen Lateefah is still waxing strong and shining bright! Grossing 350M and 7th Highest Grossing Nollywood Title of All Time. Big thank you to everyone.”
