Stop Blacklisting My Music’Yemi Alade Tell Lagos Radio Station

The 35-year-old Nigerian singer Yemi Alade revealed that Cool FM had invited her to perform at their December 2023 event, but she couldn’t make it. Then Yemi said Ever since then a popular radio station in Lagos, Cool FM Nigeria and CloudAfrica FM blacklist her for not attending their event.

After reaching out to apologize, she felt ignored by them. Unknown to her, the managers of Cool FM and CloudAfrica FM held her absence against her, resulting in her music being blacklisted from their platforms for nearly a year.

She expressed her shock at how her entire music catalogue was removed from the station’s playlist, meaning that no one at their station could play her songs, whether past or present.

“Since December 2023, I personally reached out in January. You are still refusing to play my music and giving my team a hard time. You’re not gatekeepers, and you are not God, Mr. Serge Noujaim and Mr. Joseph Adamu,” she stated.also wrote Mr Serge and Mr Joseph, this life is not hard like that.
