News Flash: Former Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy has won his case against the club for over £11 million (N23 Billion) in unpaid wages, which were withheld after he faced, and was later cleared of, sexual offense charges. Manchester City stopped his pay in September 2021, shortly after the charges were filed, and did not resume payments until his contract ended in June 2023. After being acquitted of six counts of rape and one count of sexual assault in January, Mendy continued to fight for what he was owed, asserting the club had unlawfully deducted his earnings and broken a promise to pay him if he was found innocent.

Following the recent court decision in his favor, Mendy stated on social media, “After three years, I am pleased with the decision and hope the club will honor their commitments, pay the overdue amounts, and fulfill the promises made under my contract so I can finally leave this chapter behind.” Congratulations Mendy!!!
