IYA MOPO HILLS!
Iya Mopo is a goddess turned into a Hill. Like a new bride, Iya Mopo stands out beautifully at 350m in the village of Igbeti. It has over six (6) kilometres land mass and is as high as one hundred fifty feet(150ft).
This hill served as a shelter against enemy. The hill also has a river called, Odò orogún mẹ́ta(A River of 3 different wives), the hill also has Sango shrine (Ojúbọ Sango), where he (Sango) first tried his power and fire gush from his mouth. History made us known that many houses were burnt during this time of him trying his power. On the hill, we have Iyamopo Shrine, (Ojúbọ Ìyámọ̀pó), where prayer used to occur.
11 kings reigned and lived on this hill in the past and all of them were buried at valley of the hill.
